As a self-taught artist, I draw most of my inspiration from my experiences and the various places I have lived. My formal training was with words rather than images, as in school I opted for my second love, that of English literature and foreign languages. In this rather roundabout way, I discovered that studying the figurative, the themes and leitmotifs in literature and the subtleties of linguistic meaning indeed reinforced my visual imagination.
